I think this year I will keep track of everything I read and write about some of the more memorable books. I really like Helen Fielding and the characters she writes. This is the third book of hers I've read. I think I am draw to the women she writes always falling for the emotionally unavailable man. I enjoyed this read immensely. The main character ditches her posh life in England to be an aide worker in Northern Africa (after breaking up with her emotionally unavailable boyfriend). It isn't exactly chick-lit but probably wouldn't appeal to the average man. On a scale of one to five its a solid three and a half!

Paper-towel-less
This fall my husband came home after listening to
sports radio (it isn't all just about sports) with the idea that we should get rid of the paper towels. We really only used them for napkins and to dry our hands in the kitchen, it really was wasteful.
With some help from my sister-in-law, who gave me some cloth napkins for Christmas to get me started, I used that pattern for these pictured. This last week we finished the final roll of paper towels and I finished making our new cloth napkins. We have been paper towel free for more than a week!

Here we go...
I'm giving this a shot. Blogging that is, we'll see how it goes, if it's awful I'll stop. Sounds like a good plan!
Stay tuned for great things.
